Dhana Singh Choudhury Memorial English Medium HS School (formerly known as Kanchan Bari HS School) is one of the prominent Government run school in Kumarghat Sub-Division, Unakoti District. Located at Kanchanbari, the School has been in the year 1955 with Primary section only. The school had been upgraded to higher Secondary level in the year 1984. In the year 2006 (the Golden Jubilee year) the school renamed as “Dhana SinghChoudhury Memorial HS School(by the name of eminent personality and land donner LateDhana Singh Choudhury). In the academic session 2019-20 the school convertedto EnglishMedium School(from Bengali medium) from Nursery and upgrading gradually. Now, medium of teaching onwards class III is still in Bengali medium. Now,the school having classes from Nursery to Higher Secondary classes in Arts, Science &Commerce with total of 1063 students. The school has been carrying a Uniform tract recordof quality education with high moral values for last 15 years. It is presently, running with 27 nos. of Teaching staff and 05 nos.Non-teaching staff.
